Dr. Pamir Alpay was recently named the GE Endowed Professor by the UConn Board of Trustees, read more here, https://www.mse.engr.uconn.edu/professor-alpay-named-ge-professor-in-advanced-manufacturing.php
Dr. Hamidreza Khassaf and PhD student Tulsi Patel publish their work on flexocaloric responses in ferroelectric films in the Journal of Applied Physics. They consider the flexocaloric adiabatic temperature changes for various misfit strains including the one for prototypical barium titanate on strontium titanate. Dr. Sanjubala Sahoo publishes a paper on catalysis mechanisms in the Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS) in collaboration with Prof. Steven Suib’s group at UConn.
Mehmet Tumerkan Kesim has successfully defended his PhD Thesis. Congratulations Dr. Kesim!
Hamidreza Khassaf has successfully defended his PhD Thesis. Congratulations Dr. Khassaf!
Dr. Sanjubala Sahoo has been working with Prof. Steven Suib (Director – Institute of Materials Science) and his group in Chemistry on providing modeling support on the mechanisms of two separate processes in catalysis. The findings of these studies were recently published in ACS Catalysis and the Journal of CO2 Utilization. See Selected Publications.
